Dr. Rothstein is originally from Sunnyvale, California. He received his
Veterinary Degree in 1995 from the Veterinary College of Ireland, University College, Dublin. He moved to Colorado Springs in 2001 where he now lives with his wife, Trephina (also a veterinarian), and their children.

Dr. Rothstein has a special interest in cardiology and exotic pets. He loves to camp, ski and hike.
